Updated Opening Information

23 February 2021

The Prime Minister set out the plan for the re-opening of the economy last night. While we are heartened by some lifting of restrictions, there are some restrictions that are affecting our ability to fully re-open the Farm. We are currently in National Lockdown and are closed to all guests until 11 April 2021.

The government advises that the following may be able to occur on 12 April 2021:

Overnight stays away from home in this country will be permitted and self-contained accommodation - those that do not require shared use of bathing, entry/exit, catering or sleeping facilities - can also reopen, though must only be used by members of the same household.

While disappointed we cannot fully re-open as we wish to, we are delighted that the following steps can be taken at Low Farm, should the government keep to the described timetable:

From 12 April 2021

  • Our Cottages will be open to leisure guests – from the same household
  • We are accepting bookings as normal through our website

From 16 April 2021

  • Camping guests will be welcome to attend under two conditions as laid out in the government guidance
    • They have their own toilet, washing and showering facilities
    • They are from the same household.
  • We will accept bookings that comply with the above restrictions through the normal booking process on our website

As has been the seen through the course of the pandemic - these dates are contingent on the government allowing Step 2 to be undertaken on 12 April 2021. Should the government delay Step 2 re-opening – full refunds will be provided for those unable to attend.

From 17 May 2021

  • It is expected the Camping Season will open, with facilities available
    • Bookings for 17 May 2021 through to 31 October 2021 will be accepted, with full payment due to secure the booking.
    • Should the government delay Step 3 re-opening and we are unable to open our facilities, and you require them:
      • You will be offered the opportunity to re-book your stay later in the year (subject to availability) OR
      • You will be provided a full refund if you cannot re-book.

NEWS

Covid Updates

13 February 2021

We are looking forward to the end of National lockdown, as I am sure are all of you! National lockdown rules are such that we are not open until at least 31 March 2021.

While there is optimism coming from the government, we are still awaiting definitive government guidance on when and how we will be allowed to re-open our campsite and cottages for leisure guests.

As the government has not provided any clear guidance on this, in order to be fair to our guests, we've made the following changes to our booking process:

Camping:

For April and May camping bookings, we are accepting bookings through the established booking system, with the exception of payment

In order to book with us, please visit our booking page to find all the required booking forms including our Covid Arrangements document.

Please complete all forms, and return them - but as noted - please do NOT make payment for your booking at this time. We will honour the booking without payment until we can confirm your ability to visit Low Farm on the dates requested.

Cottages:

There is no change to this process. We will continue to take bookings and deposits. Should we be unable to honour your booking due to government restrictions, we will refund your deposit once this is known.

Once we have assurance from the government that we are permitted to open on the dates you've requested, we will contact you to advise that you are able to attend and to secure payment for the booking.

Should you have any difficulty in booking through the web site, please feel free to contact us at 01473 736381.

We advise all guests that there remain inherent risks with travel and use of shared facilities. While we have implemented increased hygiene measures and have arrangements to make the site as Covid secure as possible, we must stress that each individual camper must make their own decisions regarding the risks associated with camping with us.

We look forward to welcoming you soon!!
